Hotel information
Located on the tiny island of Canouan, which is just two miles long by a mile wide. One of the most eye-catching features of the resort is the secluded white sand Godahl Beach, the kind that you likely daydream about. The property is situated close to some other gorgeous beaches, including Shell Beach and L’Ance Guyac Beach.
The Mandarin Oriental, Canouan is part of a stunning resort that seamlessly blends into 1,200 lush island acres. It may be small, but this island enjoys a long history, reflected by a beautifully restored 17th-century church situated at the heart of this island, where you’ll also discover a stunning unspoiled seascape with secluded coves and beaches.
There is plenty to do within the luxurious resort, whose Atlantic side is buffered by a coral reef that provides some of the Caribbean’s most diverse diving and snorkelling. There’s also a Jim Fazio-designed golf course, a luxury superyacht marina, and a sumptuous Spa to enjoy. At the same time, children will love the diverse activities on offer at Pirates of Canouan Kids Club, which has two swimming pools and one with a water slide.
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Canouan is the ideal destination to rest and recoup from the noise and stresses of life. Nestled in the hillside and overlooking the ocean, The Spa offers a range of treatments from digital wellness escape therapies, scrubs and body wraps. You can also spend time with your teenagers as they receive their own selection of treatments. The spa also offers stretching, meditation and yoga activities to activate your muscles and re-energise the body.
Accommodation options are as spacious and elegant, ranging from romantic One Bedroom Beach Suites to impressive three-storey Four-Bedroom Lagoon Villas with full-service kitchen and a private infinity pool that looks out to an incredible ocean view.
Dining is a delight. There are four restaurants, ranging from the family-friendly Lagoon Cafe, which serves Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, to fine dining at one of two sophisticated restaurants. At Asianne, you can enjoy Pan-Asian cuisine while watching your food be prepared through the open kitchen. Head to TIDES Bar & Grill for international dishes with a Caribbean flair while overlooking the reef-protected lagoon.
Finally, swing by Turtles for a pre-dinner cocktail or post-dinner tipple as you watch the sun set over Godahl Beach. This Hamptons-style lounge and bar offers a welcome escape from the heat of the midday sun, with its light wood furnishings and Maritime décor.

This luxurious resort is packed to the brim with activities to keep you busy. The coral reef running along the lagoon offers some of the Caribbeans' best and most diverse underwater life, whether you go diving, snorkelling, or just swimming in it. Canouan means 'island of tortoises', and they really mean it.
Take to the seas (just like the actors of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, which were filmed nearby) on Hobie cats, windsurfing equipment and kayaks, or go looking for the peaceful and serene hawksbill turtles in the clear waters. Alternatively, take your rod in hand for some impressive deep-sea fishing excursions.
Head to the resort's 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Jim Fazio, climbs from sea level to a dramatic 840ft, at the rim of an extinct volcano. The 13th hole is 590 feet up - the island's second-highest point, after Mount Royal. Golf doesn't get more beautiful.
