Hotel information
Experience the authentic Caribbean in a setting of refined Six Senses luxury at this new Grenada resort on the south-eastern coast of the island.
Located in a quiet spot made secluded by lush green hills, Six Senses La Sagesse’s 38 acres are nestled between La sagesse bay with shallow warm waters and L'Anse Pere ocean front and set around the warm waters of a lagoon, perfect for those seeking serenity and privacy on their Caribbean escape.
The sleek architecture merges modern design with the region’s traditional style. Gardens weave around the buildings, with indigenous plants from the so-called Spice Island creating a sense of place.
A dreamy spot for a Caribbean honeymoon or romantic escape, the peaceful nature of the resort gives space, time and tranquillity for couples. The private plunge pools with all accommodation and superb Six Senses Spa and meditation spots create onsite sanctuaries to retreat to after a day exploring the island.
As with all Six Senses resorts the needs of families have been carefully considered too. The villas provide excellent space, and there are three clubs to suit the ages of your children (toddlers, kids and teens). Nanny and babysitting services allow parents of younger children time for themselves at the spa and restaurants.
And speaking of dining, this new Caribbean resort has three restaurants; with farm-to-table fare in an indoor/outdoor setting at Callaloo; experimental, creative dishes at SeaFire; and South American skewers and cocktails at laidback Panquai. Families love Scoop Cafe Bar with its ice creams and iced coffees.
What’s more, you can holiday easy at this luxury retreat, safe in the knowledge it has the group’s eco-conscious tourism values at its heart. Discover the Earth Lab, a centre for engagement where workshops teach about sustainability and the natural world, and the Water Room, with its Water Bar and information on how Six Senses is removing two million plastic bottles from circulation each year. At the Experience Center you can plan activities, browse local souvenirs and experience the Community Wellness Library and Alchemy Bar, the latter offering workshops to learn about the unique healing benefits of herbs and plants and your own spa products.

Restaurants & Bars
As with everything at the resort the dining experience puts the focus on sustainability and locality, with many ingredients grown at the resort’s own gardens. The island is abundant with fresh produce thanks to its volcanic soils, and famed for its production of spices and rums; all influencing the menus at Six Senses La Sagesse.
Combining Caribbean and South American dishes and flavours with the hotel group’s Eat With Six Senses philosophy on dietary wellbeing, you can experience three restaurants, two bars and a café. Destination dining is also available, including a beach blanket barbecue or Chef’s Garden experience, as well as in-villa dining.
Callaloo
This all-day dining restaurant focuses on sustainability, with farm-to-table menus using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. Think comfort food with Caribbean spices served al fresco, and evening dinners reflecting the Eat With Six Senses philosophy of dining for wellbeing.
SeaFire
Communal plates for sharing are served at this resort’s signature restaurant with its menu of creative and experimental dishes, many of which are cooked over a fire. The oceanfront location of SeaFire creates a memorable atmosphere and gives a real sense of place to the experience.
Panquai
This bar and grill is a laidback spot to enjoy cocktails and South American meat skewers. The poolside setting makes it a chilled spot to grab lunch in the day, then by night it transforms into a trendy cocktail bar specialising in local rums.
Scoop Café
Close to the pool, this ice cream and coffee bar is an indulgent spot to drop in for a cool shake, smoothie or iced coffee, or treat the kids to their favourite holiday dessert.
Activities & Entertainment
Spa & Wellness
The Six Senses Spa at La Sagesse is a sanctuary of wellness. Set overlooking the lagoon it focuses on indigenous plants and age-old traditions to offer wellness programmes designed around sleep, movement and yoga. Highlights include the outdoor rooms where you can have a Caribbean treatment; the Longevity Center featuring a “green” beauty bar, consultation room, nail bar, and facial room; and the panoramic sauna, hot pool, cold plunge pool, and Kneipp therapy pool. Alongside is a 180-square-metre multi-purpose fitness facility that has aerial yoga. And the wellness focus of the resort continues with the outdoor experiences, such as the meditation nooks among the gardens, forest bathing, labyrinth walking, and sensory foot reflexology.
Family-Friendly Activities
There is so much to welcome and delight younger guests at Six Senses La Sagesse. Grow With Six Senses incorporates the six dimensions of wellness (social, environmental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual) in a bid to bring kids ‘back to basics’ and reconnect with those around them and the natural world. Examples include children’s yoga, making their own after-sun lotion and learning to cook healthy dishes.
Designed for children aged three to 11 years, there are indoor and outdoor play areas at the onsite Children’s Centre. Older kids can head to the Teens' Lounge where there are games and chill-out areas, and, of course, plenty of snacks!
Experience Grenada
The ‘Spice Island’ is one of the best places in the Caribbean for authentic culture and immersion in nature. Your Guest Experience Manager at Six Senses La Sagesse can arrange excursions to the Grand Etang National Park, where the rainforest is alive with monkeys, mongoose and nine-banded armadillo. Or how about a cooling dip in the Annandale Waterfall surrounded by tropical forest? A visit to the horseshoe-shaped harbour of St Georges will give you a real feel for island life, while the Belmont Estate will give you a taste for it with its tree-to-bar chocolate, then onto the River Antoine Estate to sample its famous rum. If you have a love of diving then Grenada is the place to be, known as the Shipwreck Capital of the Caribbean and home to the world’s only underwater sculpture park.
Sustainability Initiatives & Responsible Tourism
Six Senses is a hotel group renowned for the seriousness with which it takes its environmental responsibilities, and this is no less true of its latest venture in Grenada, La Sagesse. Mindfully built and engineered, there is as much sourcing from the locality as feasible, in everything from materials to ingredients. Care is taken to conserve water, reduce waste and grow as much as possible on the resort’s land. What’s more, the team makes the most of the small bursts of rainfall, collecting rainwater to reduce the reliance on conventional water sources. Surrounding the resort some 3,000 trees and bushes are being planted, alongside new mangroves along the lagoon to provide the ideal habitat conditions for local species of birds, fish and other animals.
