Hotel information
Discover a private island paradise at Sir Richard Branson’s second home in the British Virgin Islands. Sprawling over 125 acres, and sitting across the water from its famous sister island, Necker, Moskito Island boasts four luxurious estates.
Moskito Island’s renowned Branson Estate is one of the finest retreats in the British Virgin Islands and has been joined by the equally exceptional Point Estate, Oasis Estate and Village Estate. Each nestled in its own beautifully secluded setting, you’ll find the absolute best in coastal living, with accommodation set across stunning villas just steps away from undisturbed white sands, turquoise waters and swaying palms.
Every one of the four estates brings its own sense of style and a one-of-a-kind experience. In the Oasis Estate, you’ll be perched at the highest point of the island, where sleek and modern design gives way to the most stunning sea views. The Point Estate, meanwhile, is nestled into the cliffside, from which you can take the steps directly down to the beach below. The Village sits on its own clifftop for incredible views. Then, there’s the Branson Residence. Opened in 2020, the villas here are connected by wooden walkways in true barefoot luxury style.
While each estate includes its own facilities, you can also head to the shared area, the Beach House. Here, you’ll find an infinity pool and bar, a tennis pavilion, dining pavilions, a watersports centre and a gym with Pelaton bikes and a wellness area.
Thanks to the way the villas and bedrooms have been so thoughtfully set out, Moskito Island is a first-class option for multi-generational holidays, with special arrangements for younger visitors including tailored menus, inflatables and activities, as well as connecting nurseries available in two of the suites.
Of course, every estate is also fully catered to with a full team of staff taking care of every need, from cooking dinner to arranging activities and recommending the best things to do.
This is a truly exceptional private island holiday setting in the British Virgin Islands.
Room Options
Moskito Island comprises four private estates. Each one can be hired on an exclusive basis and is inclusive of an Estate Manager and team of staff, private chef, all meals and drinks, watersports, access to all facilities and wifi, plus a personalised itinerary from the start to finish of your stay.
The Branson Estate
Sleeps: 22 Adults
Designed and owned by the Branson family, up to 22 guests can stay in this idyllic estate. The main residence, Headland House, is joined by two further villas, totalling 11 bedrooms, along with a striking wrap-around infinity pool that meanders around the master suite. The Oasis Estate
Sleeps: 18 Adults
Sitting high up with panoramic 360-degree sea views, the Oasis Estate can be home to up to 18 guests. Nestled in an oasis of tropical gardens with its own waterfall, the sprawling Main House is set over four storeys, while the poolside rooms offer further privacy. The Point Estate
Sleeps: 14 Adults , 8 Children
Cascading down the hillside and surrounded by the turquoise Caribbean waters, the Point Estate is truly scenic. Overlooking the main beach, groups of up to 22 adults and children can enjoy the luxurious facilities including outdoor deep soak baths and a huge infinity pool with sea views. The Village
Sleeps: 18 Adults
Perched upon a lofty clifftop reigning over the far west of the island, The Village is the ultimate hotspot for adventure-seekers. With space for up to 18 visitors, across seven standalone guest houses and a further two guest rooms in the Main Pavilion, this estate is a bubble of activity, especially when darkness falls. Doused in luxury, vibrancy and comfort, The Village is the place to hang your hat this winter.Activities & Entertainment
Of course many travel to Moskito Island to simply chill on the beach or by the pool in complete privacy from the outside world. However, should you choose to be more active, there are two tennis courts on the island, with grandstand steps for spectators which can double as a seating area for a movie night. There’s a gym and wellness facility, and spa treatments can be organised at your request.
Down at the beach you’ll find the exceptional Watersports Pavilion, with plenty to entice you under and onto the water, including stand-up paddleboarding and snorkelling. You could head inland too, exploring the island’s 125 acres along one of the many hiking trails… just be sure to pack your camera for plenty of photo opportunities.
Finally, if your group likes to get a bit competitive, the island team can arrange some fun team sports, such as beach cricket and croquet on the lawn, or even treasure hunts or a Beach Olympics; wonderful if you have children staying with you.
