“I had always wanted to go to Bora Bora. It truly was a dream destination of mine, and as I wanted somewhere I could spend a full two weeks for my honeymoon, I thought it was the perfect time to go.
“To begin with, I only really knew Bora Bora as an island, so wasn’t sure where else to go in French Polynesia. I started doing some research and found Inspiring Travel on the tourist board’s website. My favourite hotel
“Four Seasons Bora Bora was the best hotel I’ve ever been to. I still think about it all the time! When you step off the plane and see the lagoon, it’s better than any photo you’ve seen – you can’t even imagine it!
Initially we had booked a beachfront villa, but managed to get a last-minute upgrade to an overwater villa with the most incredible views of Mt.Pahia – we’re so glad we did this as the room was so beautiful, we barely left. We spent our days dipping into the lagoon and simply making the most of the views!
The Brando was also incredible. There is so much focus on nature and you can tell that everyone really cares about the island. The resident conservationists taught us about the fish and wildlife of the area, and overall the setting is pristine.
Everything is included during a stay at The Brando, which was ideal for our honeymoon. We had excursions and spa treatments every day, with a butler to ensure someone was waiting for us with a drink and a towel when we were done. The food is excellent and everything feels so personal – after mentioning how much we loved the chocolate soufflé, the chef created us our own special cheese soufflé, which was a lovely touch.”
