Taima PurePod

Taima PurePod

Sleeps: 2 Adults

Your cosy abode for the night, Taima PurePod has everything you need for a memorable night’s rest. It features luxurious facilities, including a fabulous shower, cooking equipment and an assortment of fun games. There’s also a telescope so you can gaze up at the stars and spot the Southern Cross.

Away from the PurePod, you can enjoy activities and entertainment in Cromwell and the surrounding area. There are award-winning restaurants, some serving up tasty tapas and others gourmet pizzas, while the lush vineyards are available for you to tour, discovering how their aromatic wines are cultivated and produced. Cromwell even has a history stretching back to the 1800s, which can best be experienced in Old Cromwell Town. Central Otago’s best kept secret, the town is open daily for you to freely explore, with some historic buildings from gold rush era saved and lovingly rebuilt.

The PurePod also has easy access to the famous Lake Dunstan trail. Take a bike out and ride through the striking Central Otago landscapes, winding around the edge of the beautiful lake towards Kawarau River and Clutha River Mata-au. Along the way, you’ll discover sprawling family-owned wineries as well as several wonders like the rocky Cromwell Gorge. Then, as you make your way to the town of Clyde, you’ll pass over a brilliant suspension bridge and enjoy views of Clyde Dam. After exploring Clyde’s historic buildings and fuelling up at a café, make the return journey to Cromwell.

Sustainability is at the core of everything for PurePods.

The company prioritises the minimisation of their ecological footprint while simultaneously maximising your experience as a guest – in everything from the unique glass cabin construction to daily operations and beyond. As such, the building process involved using sustainable energy as well as little-to-no non-renewable energy sources and local water, which was returned to the local area just as clean as it arrived. On top of this, any rainwater which lands on the roof is returned to the surrounding area to water native plants. Eco-friendly cleaners are also used exclusively.

Conservation and reclamation of the natural environment is close to the heart of PurePods, as evidenced in their partnership with landowners who are committed to sustainability.
