Hotel information
Each room at Hulbert House is individually styled with its own independent charm and character. From the Grand Room’s rich purples, blues and golds to the Queen Room’s lush garden access and kitchenette, there’s an accommodation option tailored with luxury amenities to your preferences.
In addition to this, a New Zealand Historic Places covenant protects the property’s historical significance for future generations. Built by Horatio Nelson Firth and first established in 1888, the Victorian villa is steeped in authentic history, which you’re invited to explore and learn about. Nowadays, the interior design by Neil McLachlan preserves the period details with the use of splendid English wallpapers and custom milled carpet, large scale French antiques and chandeliers.
Relax in the iconic Palm Lounge or marvel at sweeping views of majestic mountains, Lake Wakatipu and downtown Queenstown. Not only that, but the town centre is a five-minute walk downhill, where you can discover delicious eateries, the lovely Bay Beach and a fabulous shopping centre.
To top it off, enjoy a sumptuous à la carte breakfast, along with an extensive buffet and mid-morning tea. Hulbert House even provides a delightful spread of canapés, paired with wines and beers.
