Explore the snow-capped mountains of Mount Cook National Park on this incredible 12-hour tour. You’ll travel through the sublime Southern Alps and the golden grasslands of Mackenzie Country to reach these towering peaks, with much to discover in between.
First, enjoy a brief stop in the lakeside town of Cromwell, the “fruit bowl of the South”, where you’ll find huge fruit sculptures reflecting what the region does best. Then, glide through Mackenzie Basin’s rolling hills via Lindis Pass, and stop for snacks in the charming village of Omarama. Follow the curve of Lake Pukaki to Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, where you’ll have 3.5 hours to explore and soak up the incredible views. Hike along the Hooker Valley track, brave a heli-hike on the Tasman Glacier, or enjoy a Glacier Explorer boat trip on the Tasman Glacier Lake.
After an afternoon of adventures, head back to Queenstown, pausing briefly at the High Country Salmon Farm in Twizel for fish feeding (time permitting), and again at Omarama for another snack break.
