Hollyford Valley is nestled in the northern area of Fiordland National Park, among deep fjords, gushing waterfalls and snow-covered peaks. The spectacular Hollyford Valley is home to breathtaking beech forest and a rich New Zealand history. Explore undisturbed and inspiring scenery that has remained largely untouched for thousands of years, from the snowcapped mountains of the majestic Southern Alps to the rugged West Coast.
Spend three days hiking through the stunning, untouched scenery, with luxury lodges awaiting your return every evening. You'll only need to carry your pack for the first day of hiking, and then you'll be given a small day pack to store your necessities.
You’ll explore the towering Southern Alps, the ancient native rainforest and the remote sand dunes as your expert guide shares tales of the region’s fascinating history. Learn all about the diversity of landscapes, vegetation and wildlife comprising this sweeping vista, and hear about the lives of the original Maori and early pioneers.
The hike along the valley floor is at a low altitude, which makes it accessible to all levels of fitness. You can stay grounded, discovering native wildlife and exploring the historical sites on foot, or jet off on a scenic helicopter flight to Milford Sound. After exploring, end your day with a three-course gourmet experience back at your lodge.
