Hotel information
Like staying at a friend’s luxury holiday home, Te Koi – The Lodge at Bronte offers that desirable mix of welcoming comforts and outright exclusivity.
Pretty, flower-filled gardens unfold towards the Waimea Estuary, a spellbinding sight to behold from your private suite, villa or residence.
Then, indoors the interiors are festooned with pieces from the owners’ private art collection, set against a warm colour palette and quality, country-chic furnishings.
In fact, the owners Ali and Ian Metcalfe have poured their passion and expertise into every inch of Te Koi, combining their experiences of hotel and restaurant management of over 30 years.
Should you wish to dine at Te Koi, it’ll actually be Ali that whips up your three-course dinner; accompanied by wines handpicked by her sommelier husband, Ian.
Breakfast is included as part of your stay, though you can also self-cater or explore the many wining and dining options all around the hotel. You might wish to discover Nelson, Abel Tasman National Park and Richmond by helicopter or private boat while here, or simply stay to enjoy the hotel itself, playing tennis or taking a dip in the heated outdoor pool.
Whatever you need or want, the Metcalfe’s and their team at Te Koi will make it happen.

Restaurants & Bars
Dining at Te Koi – The Lodge at Bronte
Although not exactly a restaurant, you can take the opportunity to dine at Te Koi Lodge by requesting a three-course meal – lovingly prepared by none other than owner Ali herself. The experience begins with aperitifs and canapés presented to you on the terrace, accompanied by wines handpicked by sommelier (and co-owner) Ian. Afterwards, take a seat at your table and indulge in various gourmet delicacies that make use of homegrown ingredients and local, seasonal fare. In addition, breakfast is also provided by your hosts; best savoured on the outdoor deck on sunny mornings.
