Take on this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime heli-hike experience across New Zealand’s Tasman Glacier - the longest glacier in New Zealand. A professional guide will join you as you glide high over the mountains and trek over the ice-laden terrain on this 3.5 hour tour, keeping you safe along the way.
To begin your venture, check-in at the Mount Cook Airport for a safety briefing and to gather your equipment. Then, board your helicopter flight and head towards the towering mountains. You’ll land at a staggering 1,200m above sea level for your next stage of the tour – two hours of exploring on an interpretative ice trek! Discover the fluted ice, runnels and winding streamlets that make up this incredible terrain, and bask in the beautiful mountain views that surround you.
After your trek, your helicopter will swiftly return you to Mount Cook Airport, flying up close to the 1,000m high Hochstetter Icefall below Aoraki / Mount Cook as your grand finale.
