An intimate property set on the edge of Lake Tarawera in a quiet secluded location, Solitaire Lodge is ideally situated for exploring nearby Rotorua and this geothermal wonderland of steaming lakes and bubbling hot pools, which is also the heartland of Maori culture.
The luxury property has only 10 luxury suites all with sweeping views of the lake and nearby volcano through the large lake view windows and the tranquil setting provides guests with the opportunity to experience tours of nearby White Island plus walks to Tarawera Falls plus unique geothermal sites.
The lodge provides guest with a choice of four types of suites; Executive Suites that boast spectacular views of Lake Tarawera from the private balcony, Tarawera Suite with a wall to ceiling glass window, Villa Suite a two storey villa suite with outdoor deck and living and dining areas and finally the Solitaire Suite which is a completely separate building that provides guests with total privacy and breathtaking views.
Further activities that can be experienced from the lodge include Kayaking, walks around the lake's edge, spa therapies at the lodges signature spa, helicopter rides plus fishing and thermal bathing making it the perfect location for both couples and families.
