Hotel information
Rosewood Kauri Cliffs (formerly The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs) is a very grown-up resort indeed, with its stately dining and lounge rooms, smart lawns and sophisticated spa. Families are well catered for too with outdoor adventures, family suites and villa style accommodation.
Rosewood Kauri Cliffs provides one of the best luxury golfing holidays in all of New Zealand, yet there is also so much more on offer here for golfers, couples and families alike.
Around the grounds, an infinity pool, Jacuzzi and patio overlooking the Pacific Ocean will no doubt become the source of many happy memories during your time at the lodge. The same can be said for the supreme spa, which itself comes with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, and long list of holistic treatments to be enjoyed while surrounded by the foliage of a nearby Totara Forest.
Pampering and afternoons on the golfing green aside, the outdoor adventures available from Rosewood Kauri Cliffs will offer something for everybody, no matter what your age or physical fitness. Why not speak to the concierge and arrange a helicopter flight over the Bay of Many Islands?
Or, perhaps a guided wildlife walk for something a little more serene. There are opportunities for water sports, surfing and exploring three private beaches around the hotel, as well as 4x4 photography tours, private picnics, quad and mountain biking, farm visits (great for children) and horse riding too, the choice really is yours.
And though Rosewood Kauri Cliffs does not have a specific kids’ club, this catalogue of excursions and day trips will be sure to keep even the most excitable of little ones entertained!
This is still a very refined, ambient and upmarket North Island hotel, however, as can be seen through its elegant décor scheme of modern homely comforts, cream sofas, thick rugs and fireplaces, though also in the restaurant. Here, the very best sustainable, locally sourced and seasonal produce is transformed into fine dining works of art every single day, just another reason to book a suite at Rosewood Kauri Cliffs.

Restaurants & Bars
The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs Restaurant
The fine dining food policy of The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs is proudly one of sustainability, supporting local fishermen and farmers, using seasonal produce and never compromising on quality. The menu changes almost daily, so you’ll be enjoying something different depending on exactly when you visit. But what does stay consistent is the world-class quality of cuisine here, and the head chef’s ethos of artistic presentation being just as important as the mouth-watering flavour combination served on each plate. An elegant dining room and ocean-facing patio both provide a top New Zealand gastronomic experience, while private dining or picnics can also be arranged. And, although there is no designated bar, cocktails on Kauri’s rear veranda while overlooking the Pacific Ocean are a more than acceptable replacement instead.
