Located in the small seaport of Russell, this honeymooners’ paradise features five luxury suites in the main building and a separate two-bedroom cottage perfect for a small and personal holiday.

Owned and managed by your hosts, Peter and Greg, you’ll be personally greeted on arrival and enjoy excellent service all throughout your stay. Not only that, but you’ll even receive a freshly made breakfast every morning and a selection of teas, coffees, and home baked cookies in the kitchen. With a central lounge, breakfast room and deck with gorgeous views, you’ll never want to leave!

Each room is elegantly, but tastefully, appointed with furnishings in keeping with the home’s history. Arcadia Cottage also offers two suites, a full kitchen and sitting area downstairs as well as a mezzanine level with sofa, armchairs, and window seat upstairs with bay views. For a relaxing evening, you can even sample the honour bar’s selection of local wines which are sold at cost price.

Away from the hotel, you can take a leisurely ten-minute walk to Russell and admire the waterfront before dining at a fine establishment. With Arcadia Lodge’s reserved tables across town, you can choose from the most popular restaurants during peak season and enjoy a sumptuous meal.

In keeping with the local area, the property is charming and relaxed – a space where you can let your stresses of home life melt away while enjoying the breathtaking views of Matauwhi Bay.
