Sustainability Initiatives & Responsible Tourism
Le Tikehau by Pearl Resorts is passionate about sustaining the environment of the island, and in their efforts to protect and respect the surrounding nature, they have organised a strategy to preserve the beauty. To conserve energy, they are party solar powered, as well as using sustainable water and power usage by avoiding daily changes of bedsheets and towels.
The resort also adopts an eco-responsibility, growing their own fruit, vegetables and herbs in their own patch, and chefs buy from local markets.
In an effort to conserve their beautiful surroundings, Le Tikehau has partnered with several environmental NGOs, including Espace Bleu, Le Bora Bora and Le Taha'a who help maintain the health of the coral and lagoon. Waste management is also important to the resort, replacing all in-room plastic water bottles with complimentary reusable flasks and water fountains. All guests are invited to share this passion with the environment through contributions.
