Are you seeking a rustic beach escape that takes you off the beaten track and into private beach bliss? This barefoot sanctuary offers an exceptional experience on the inviting, pink sands of one of French Polynesia’s more remote islets – far removed from the more famed shores of Bora Bora and Moorea.

Boasting a fabulous overwater experience, you can choose to stay in one of the naturally-built Overwater Bungalows or Suites, with some featuring glass floors and direct access into the crystal blue waters of the lagoon. As you'll be set on one of the most marine-rich atolls in the world, you won't want to miss diving into the water with your snorkelling gear to get a closer look at the exotic marine life below.

After long days of exploring the natural wonders of nearby islands like Bird Island, you can refuel with a sumptuous meal at Poreho Restaurant. Dine on delicious Polynesian and European-inspired dishes with an unrivalled view of the lagoon. Be sure to visit the cosy Tianoa Bar, perfect for pre- or post-dinner cocktails. For intimate dining, order room service to your bungalow or suite.

With 33 Bungalows and Suites to choose from, each and every one offer ultimate comfort. Enjoy air conditioning anywhere in the resort including your room, and keep in touch with your loved ones at home with the Wi-Fi available at all times.

Discover Tikehau

Perched on the coast of an archipelago surrounded by wildlife-rich islets, this resort boasts an excellent location for exploring. Venture to neighbouring islets to explore either by foot or by kayak, or even head into the main village, Tuherahera.

For bird lovers, be sure to also enjoy an excursion over to ‘Bird Island’, offered to you by the resort. This islet is home to many species of tropical birds including boobies, the brown noddy, frigates and fairy terns, just to name a few.

Spa and wellness

Set above the calm waters and scenic coral garden is the Tavai Spa, you can soak up the soothing sounds and views of the ocean whilst enjoying a relaxing spa treatment. For those looking to rejuvenate with a workout, head to the fitness centre, also over the coral garden and boasting stunning views. Both overwater bungalows are the perfect escape from the bustle of life.

On the water

For the watersports lovers, kayaking is an exciting activity to enjoy on the lagoon. Head out into the water and observe the wildlife, coral and stunning views while gliding through the crystal-clear water. If you’re feeling adventurous, head below the surface with professional divers and enjoy some scuba diving in the liveliest waters of the atoll. Or, partake in some longline fishing with the experts.

Rent your own boat out and head into the lagoon, exploring the sweeping waters at your own pace with your private captain. Alternatively, you can end your day aboard a lagoon cruise ship, watching the sun set in the most romantic way.

Le Tikehau by Pearl Resorts is passionate about sustaining the environment of the island, and in their efforts to protect and respect the surrounding nature, they have organised a strategy to preserve the beauty. To conserve energy, they are party solar powered, as well as using sustainable water and power usage by avoiding daily changes of bedsheets and towels.

The resort also adopts an eco-responsibility, growing their own fruit, vegetables and herbs in their own patch, and chefs buy from local markets.

In an effort to conserve their beautiful surroundings, Le Tikehau has partnered with several environmental NGOs, including Espace Bleu, Le Bora Bora and Le Taha'a who help maintain the health of the coral and lagoon. Waste management is also important to the resort, replacing all in-room plastic water bottles with complimentary reusable flasks and water fountains. All guests are invited to share this passion with the environment through contributions.
