Hotel information
Put simply, the award-winning VOMO Island Resort in Fiji is one of the most unique private island hideaways in the South Pacific.
Not least because of its location, views, and depth of onsite facilities for couples and families alike.
If travelling to Fiji with children, for example, by booking a villa on VOMO Island you’ll benefit from their priceless – and fun-filled – Kids Village, a wonderland of indoor and outdoor play areas, climbing frames, games, arts and crafts classes, dress-up, special BBQs and even baby butlers to keep little ones entertained for your entire trip, should you need them.
This leaves adults plenty of time to spoil themselves with a personalised treatment or massage in the award-winning VOMO Spa, where many of the therapies take both their inspiration and nourishing content from the sea – so be sure to try the algae body wrap or salt facial while here. And whether booking a stay at VOMO Island Resort as a couple on a romantic break to Fiji or travelling as a family, you then have tennis and volleyball courts, a gym and 9-hole pitch and putt golf course plus all kinds of watersports to enjoy; from reef snorkelling and scuba to windsurfing, Hobie cat sailing and stand-up paddleboards to take around the picture-perfect shore.
Activities
Active types can then take the scenic hike up Mount Vomo or simply stroll along the island’s idyllic sands, stopping at the pool to unwind on a luxe poolside daybed, after all this is still a place of blissful rest and relaxation, surrounded by the most pristine South Pacific landscapes. Finally, the wonderful VOMO Resort villas seal the deal with their contemporary take on traditional Fijian design, private terraces, carefully placed mod-cons and sea views aplenty, while gourmet cuisine and zingy cocktails – including one adults-only bar/restaurant – come courtesy of three ocean view dining spots. This all adds up to as much outright indulgence as action and adventure here at the luxury, boutique, VOMO Island Resort.
Room Options
The Villas and Residences at VOMO Island Resort strike a harmonious balance between contemporary interior design and plentiful extras – such as Bose Bluetooth speakers, L’Occitane toiletries, a deep-soak bathtub and separate rain shower plus all the mod-cons, with traditional design elements, bare wood and Fijian touches throughout. Each then comes with a private furnished terrace and range of sea views or for some, immediate beach and ocean access. And while all Villas enjoy lots of space, seating areas and a king-size bed, The Beach House and Residences are a cut above with their multiple bedrooms, private swimming pools, kitchens and gardens; ideal for families. Those top options also include complimentary extras such as cocktail evenings, guided snorkelling safaris and butler service.
Beachfront Villa
Beachfront Villas are similar in size and layout to the Hillside alternatives, but are located lower down for instant access to the beach and sea. Within this category there are then the Havens, which offer a little more privacy as standalone units surrounded by palm trees.Beachfront Retreat
Beachfront Retreats offer a slightly enhanced floorplan and extra space for three adults or two adults and three children – though they can also interconnect and sleep up to ten. Another nice feature with this VOMO Island room category is their extended outdoor space, which features a deep-soak bathtub at the back. The Beach House
Book the Beach House at VOMO Island Resort for something truly special, as this three-bedroom property enjoys a prime setting right on the beach, top ocean views from its sun terrace and swimming pool, plus an open-plan kitchen and living area too. Multiple en suites, a BBQ area, 200-bottle wine fridge, games room and private courtyard are just some of the additional extras in the five-star Fijian home-from-home.Residences
VOMO Island Resort then offers a clutch of luxury private Residences which are all truly cutting-edge, gloriously designed standalone spaces. They come with either three of four bedrooms (in separate pavilions for extra privacy within one of the Residences), private gardens and swimming pools, more than one furnished sun terrace, an open-plan kitchen and lounge, BBQ areas and only the best VOMO Island sea-view settings, of course.Facilities/Amenities
VOMO Island Resort packs a lot in for such a small, exclusive hotel, even an entire Kids Village of indoor and outdoor play areas, climbing frames, games, ‘baby butlers’ and nannies that will keep little ones entertained for days on end. There is then a very much adult-orientated Kui Spa, PADI dive centre, watersports equipment, sports courts, a 9-hole putting green, gym and outdoor sea-facing swimming pool too.
Restaurants & Bars
Reef Restaurant
Think fresh seafood, lip-smacking tropical flavours and plenty of homegrown produce, herbs and vegetables served up across a daily changing fine-dining menu, all accompanied by customary sea views and live music, of course. The Reef Restaurant team are also more than happy to rustle up a gourmet picnic or evening of private dining on the beach, should the romantic mood take you.

Rocks Bar
An adults-only open-air bar and casual restaurant that looks out to sea; essential if staying at VOMO Island Resort as a couple

Activities & Entertainment
Family-friendly VOMO Island Resort offers far more children’s facilities than most boutique hotels, especially at their Kids Village where everything from baby butlers to a Bubbles Swimming School, indoor and outdoor soft play, games, playgrounds and plenty more can be enjoyed. Grown-ups are then free to spend time in the spa or adults-only terrace bar areas (good to know if staying as a couple), the tennis courts and 9-hole putting green, gym, beach walking trails or watersports – including stand-up paddle boards, hobie cat hire, windsurfing and snorkelling safaris. There is also a PADI dive school onsite and scenic hiking route up nearby Mount VOMO too, between stints by the pool or lounging on the bay, that is.
