Hotel information
At the Pacific Resort Rarotonga, situated in the postcard-perfect Cook Islands, your picturesque backdrop comes as a steep hillside covered in trees, while to the front, Muri Beach and turquoise waters await beyond.
This well and truly sets the tone for a classic seafront stay on Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, and guestrooms follow suit with each villa or suite being a breezy and spacious affair.
Pared-back island cool is the theme here, with thatch vaulted ceilings, cool tile floors and whitewash walls lending a serene, beachy vibe. Some guestrooms have then been designed with families in mind, featuring two bedrooms and large terraces, and are either found nestled within the gardens or looking directly over the sea, an inviting sight to behold.
The family-friendly Pacific Resort Rarotonga also features a kids club and swimming pool (on top of stunning Muri Beach which is ideal for paddling and swimming); plus watersports equipment and a special glass-bottom boat for private outings. Guests can feast at the all-day dining Sandals Restaurant on the beach, sip sundowners at the Barefoot Bar, or take a short stroll to nearby eateries and drinking dens; it’s all very relaxed here in paradise.

This is what to expect at the hotel’s Sandals Restaurant, serving such delights as seafood chowder, scallops and rukau gratin, New Zealand lamb rack, or Polynesian coconut and vegetable broth; to name just a few. Activities & Entertainment
The Cook Islands make for a fantastic kite surfing destination, particularly Rarotonga and Aitutaki with their calm waters. There are excellent kite surfing centres nearby such as KiteSUP, who will provide lessons and rentals on Rarotonga Island; if you’ve always wanted to try kite surfing, this is the place to do it! At the Pacific Resort itself you can then enjoy kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding, borrowing any equipment from the Beach Hut. Here you’ll find plenty more activities, from crab racing to coconut husking, while children can have their own fun in the Kids Club – think basket weaving and dancing, among others. Or, why not get the whole family together for some snorkelling? There are also boat trips to Muri Lagoon, a protected reserve where giant clams and trevally flourish, all to be admired while you swim in the warm waters.
