Full accommodation information

Escape to the lush green Daintree Rainforest in Queensland and stay in the lap of jungle luxury at Silky Oaks Lodge.

Just half an hour from Port Douglas – the launchpad for forays into the Great Barrier Reef – this rainforest hideaway is ensconced on the banks of Mossman River and encircled by tropical foliage, making for a magical natural playground.

It’s a tranquil setting indeed, and Silky Oaks Lodge goes on to offer a myriad of serenity-inducing treehouse abodes for its guests. Hammocks on the veranda, spa bathtubs, polished wooden floors and wide windows framing the greenery – all this is just the start of the story. There’s then a spa, swimming pool and yoga classes to leave you feeling replenished, and canoes, bikes, snorkels and a tennis court for active types. When you’re not luxuriating in the spa or out on intrepid excursions, take a seat at the Treehouse Restaurant and indulge in a contemporary Australian meal while lapping up the rainforest views below.

Beyond Silky Oaks Lodge, you can embark on a day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef for some world-class snorkelling or diving, using the complimentary shuttle service to Port Douglas and taking a boat ride out from there. Wildlife, tropical landscapes, exhilarating activities – it’s all within reach at Silky Oaks Lodge.

There are six choices of treehouses to choose from at Silky Oaks Lodge, all of which are set high up in the rainforest canopy on stilts. They have been designed to blend harmoniously with their surroundings and so feature polished wooden floors, nature-inspired artwork, colourful fabrics and large windows to maximise every lush view. Private verandas are appointed with armchairs and hammocks, while indoors you can expect to find iPod docking stations, air-conditioning, bathrobes and slippers, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans and rain showers.
