Hotel information
Lilianfels Resort & Spa is nestled in two acres of manicured gardens on the edge of the majestic Jamison Valley in the heart of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park.
The hotel is steeped in history and celebrates its Victorian origins through its design, with ornate open fireplaces, crystal chandeliers and plush Victorian-style furnishings.
There is a wide range of accommodation options, from Deluxe Resort View Rooms to luxurious Executive Valley Suites. Each of the 89 rooms and suites is designed to reflect a bygone era and the resort’s peaceful setting, with elegant Wedgewood wallpaper and sumptuous soft furnishings.
Lilianfels is renowned for its gourmet dining offerings; Darley’s Signature Restaurant is the most awarded fine dining restaurant in regional New South Wales. Darley’s is housed in the property’s original homestead, which was built in 1889 as the residence of New South Wales sixth Chief of Justice, Sir Frederick Darley; the hotel was in fact named after one of his daughters, Lilian.
An all-day dining menu is served in the elegant surroundings of The Lounge and its adjoining courtyard gardens. The grand English tradition of Afternoon High Tea is continued daily here and includes triple-tiered plates of homemade scones, jam and clotted cream, finger sandwiches and petit pastries. For a dining experience like no other, Echoes Restaurant and Bar is perched on the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park, offering commanding views of the mountains and Jamison Valley in the distance.
The hotel offers a range of leisure facilities, including a seasonal 13-metre heated outdoor infinity pool with lounges positioned to take in the magnificent valley views, a gymnasium and tennis court. The day spa features four treatment rooms, an indoor heated pool, saunas, steam rooms and a herbal bath.
The Blue Mountains National Park is one of Australia’s most beautiful destinations, with many of its scenic attractions nearby; Echo Point and the Three Sisters rock formations are just a five-minute walk from the hotel. Bushwalkers and hikers will be spoilt for choice; several scenic trails of all levels begin just moments from the hotel, taking you through the rainforest, to breathtaking viewpoints, and past plunging waterfalls. For those after some retail therapy, the boutiques, galleries, antique shops and delightful eateries of the pretty village of Leura are a short drive from Lilianfels Blue Mountain Resort.
