Hotel information
Unique décor and plenty of whimsical stylistic touches make this a charmingly unique hotel.
Designed as the historic (and fictional) Lamarck University, the hotel includes rooms that have been ‘converted’ from libraries and classrooms; all rooms are light, spacious and extremely stylish, with many offering incredible views out over the bay through floor-to-ceiling windows.
The university design theme is continued throughout the hotel; in Tempus Fugit restaurant – supposedly set in the old architecture department – tables are decorated with blueprints, while guests can enjoy test tube cocktails in the Department of Chemistry Bar. Enjoy a workout at the Department of Physical Education gym, or take a dip in one of the three swimming pools.
After a full day of exploring Phu Quoc, a visit to Chanterelle Spa is just the ticket – browse the extensive treatment menu and opt for a relaxing massage or a stint in the steam room.
The Lamarck University timetable is packed – guests have a variety of optional activities and excursions to discover. Enjoy a cycling tour of the local area, spend the afternoon learning traditional Vietnamese cooking techniques, or try your hand at an authentic lantern workshop.
A history class at Lamarck University might have visited Cua Can River, where a key battle in the uprising against French colonial rule took place. Another excellent day trip can be enjoyed at Hàm Ninh, where visitors can immerse themselves in great trekking, culture, cuisine and natural vistas.
