Hotel information
Down on the island of Sentosa, which is connected to mainland Singapore via a causeway, the Capella hotel offers a relaxing retreat from the bustle of the city yet remains wonderfully close to all the highlights of this great destination.
The Capella Singapore sits on 30 acres of manicured gardens and towering trees, spilling down the hillside towards the South China Sea; a privileged position that endows the resort with sweeping views of the bay beyond.
Among the greenery you’ll soon find three freeform pools, staggered on different levels for a variety of views and sunbathing spots. Elsewhere between this lush plantlife you’ll also come across beautiful sculptures, making a stroll through the grounds utterly delightful in its own right, and there’s even a beach at the edge of the estate. The main building of Capella Lodge is then a clever take on the property’s two original 19th century bungalows, merging heritage with modernity in a seamless display of exquisite architecture.
Guests of Capella Singapore can look forward to taking time out in Auriga Spa, dining at a choice of three restaurants and sipping lovingly prepared cocktails at Bob’s Bar. Activities are also easily arranged, and there’s a convenient shuttle service between the hotel and VivoCity, Universal Studios and Harbourfront Metro Station, so you can explore as much or as little as you please. When you return however, your sophisticated room, suite, villa or manor awaits, with views of the gardens or sea for company.
Room Options
Any of the Capella Singapore’s 112 guestrooms and villas are a joy to experience, all promising soothing views of the estate’s tropical gardens; some of the sea. They are especially capacious for a Singapore hotel, and come with up-to-the-minute amenities including touch panels (for lighting, air-conditioning and blinds), a large flat-screen TV, Bose speakers, Nespresso machine, complimentary minibar and beds topped with Sealy Posturepedic mattresses.
Premier Garden Room
At 77sq m, the Premier Garden Room is a generous entry-level option. It’s found in the main building of the hotel and possesses luxurious features such as a walk-in wardrobe, furnished balcony, in-room daybed and plush king-size bed (though this can be transformed into a twin setup if desired). The en suite is just as impressive, appointed with a bathtub, rain shower, dual vanities and Aesop toiletries.Premier Seaview Room
This 77sq m guestroom is fitted with the same amenities as the Premier Garden Room, though with the additional perk of captivating sea views.Constellation Room
Upgrade to one of the 77sq m Constellation Rooms to enjoy an al fresco Jacuzzi tub (big enough for two) and views of the South China Sea.Sentosa Suite
This spacious suite (86sq m) flaunts a separate living room, as well as all the sumptuous mod-cons found in lower category rooms. It’s located in the main building of the hotel and affords sweeping sea views too.Capella Suite
The Capella Suite is even larger than the Sentosa with an expansive floorplan of 100sq m, and enjoys panoramas over the treetops to the South China Sea.One-bedroom Villa
Dotted across the grounds are the hotel’s One-bedroom Villas, looking out across verdant greenery and with the luxury of a 133sq m floorplan, private plunge pool, large terrace and outdoor shower.Two-bedroom Villa
Just like the One-bedroom Villa, though with two bedrooms and a capacious 186sq m floorplan.Colonial Manor
A regal abode indeed, the Colonial Manor is housed in a heritage building from the 1880s and is ideal for large groups, accommodating 6 adults within 436sq m of space. Tucked away amid beautiful trees, this accommodation option also benefits from a large private pool, three bedrooms with en suites, dining and living areas, plus an oversized terrace with sun loungers.Contemporary Manor
Much like the Colonial Manor, though with modern décor to reflect its name, the Contemporary Manor has the same amenities across 391sq m.Capella Manor
This manor has a decidedly modern edge to it, purposefully designed to attract discerning visitors travelling as part of a group. There’s 523sq m of pure luxury to sprawl out in, plus three bedrooms with en suites, living and dining areas, a pool, terrace with sunbeds and butler service, all found in a secluded corner of the estate for extra privacy.Facilities/Amenities
This well-equipped hotel has it all, from an irresistible wellness centre to three swimming pools, a slick gym open 24 hours a day plus its own business centre. The spa is rather decadent too, made up of treatment suites with private gardens in each, hydrotherapy zones comprising a hot tub, steam room and ice fountain (separate for men and women), a relaxation lounge and restorative therapies that use organic ingredients across the board. Also at the property is a sculpture garden, library with complimentary beverages and light bites, a tennis court and free laundry service (five pieces per stay).
