Hotel information
Boasting the accolade of Kuala Lumpur’s only heritage hotel, The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur is a fine example of colonial elegance infused with modern Malaysian delights.
One of the Leading Hotels of the World collection, the hotel is idyllically located in a leafy neighbourhood. Guests can explore the large colonial-era buildings in the area and the architecturally stunning Malayan Railway Station with its Moorish design complete with fairytale castle turrets and spires.
The hotel is split into two wings, which carefully fuse old with new. The Majestic Wing, located in the original building boasts a number of authentic delights from a spa, an old fashioned barber, and a cigar lounge to the 47 suites. Each suite comes complete with butler service. The Tower Wing brings a new era to the hotel with modern clean lines. Embodying an art-deco feel, the 253 guest rooms are finished in polished chrome and dark marble. Each wing has its own swimming pool.
The hotel offers two restaurants, Contango, which serves an international buffet, and the charming Colonial Café, which serves traditional British dishes such as oxtail soup and sherry trifle. As with all colonial hotels, high tea is a must. Enjoy delectable cakes, tea and scones while listening to the gentle tones of the resident pianist.
