The Serai

The Serai, is a luxurious desert camp set in the beautiful Thar Desert and is a Relais and Chateaux property. It is set in 100 acres of land and is a recreation of the old tented accommodation which was once an abode of the Rajput kings. The tents are elegant, stylish and large, there are 21 tents, 14 tented suites, 6 luxury suites with private walled garden and sunken heated dip pools and jacuzzi jets. The Royal tents have a private garden, spa, outdoor pool and tents to dine and lounge in. The rooms have an outside and inside sitting areas.

Th camp is part of the Relaix Chateau properties and serves the local delicacies and exceptional cuisines a mix of Western and traditional local selections.

A real highlight is the pool, which has taken its inspiration from the Indian baths, and is a wonderful place to unwind after a day of camel and horse safaris or touring in Jaipur. Dining takes place in the tent, or destination dining is available, and the menu includes Rajasthani and western cuisines. Relax further in the wonderful Sujan Spa where there are an array of therapies on offer including Ayurvedic treatments.

The Serai is located 45 minutes from the railway station and the closest airport is Jodhpur which is 4 hours away. By road it can be accessed from Jodhpur, Bikaner, Rohet, Chhatrasagar, Osian, Nagaur, Barmar.

The feel is very magical and is one of it's kind experience. The Serai is closed between April and mid-September annually.
