Situated only 17 kilometres from Chennai’s airport and located in the commercial area of the city on Binny Road, just by Spencer Plaza, a modern shopping mall stands the Vivanta by Taj Connemara.

The building was built back in 1854 as the Imperial Hotel, re-opened in 1937 and re-branded as a Vivanta by Taj property in 2010. Vivanta by Taj Connemara is the only heritage hotel in the city and the building has an art deco look.
