A picturesque retreat set on a cardamom plantation surrounded by the tea-growing hills and dramatic rainforest of the Western Ghats, the Windermere Estate offers a haven of tranquillity, the perfect retreat from which to unwind and breathe in the pure mountain air.
Each of the spacious rooms and cottages are set in the verdant gardens of the estate, all with spectacular views of the valley, mountains or tea-clad hills. There are garden rooms with valley or garden views, cottages with valley views and a Planter’s Villa. These are decorated with wooden beds and wooden floors, no fans or air conditioning is required here due to the breeze.
At The Windemere Estate, enjoy continental, oriental and Indian cuisine at The Barn and The Hut. Please note no alcohol is served at The Windemere Estate, you are welcome to bring your own. Walk through the cardamom plantation and the tea plantations or explore the steep mountain of the Western Ghats.

Garden Room
The charming and cosy Garden Rooms are located on the ground floor surrounded by trees and foliage. These rooms have a sit-out area while some rooms will even have its own private gardens.Estate Room
The spacious Estate Rooms are located on the upper floor in the chalets. The rooms have large picture windows and will either overlook the tea plantations or surrounded by coffee trees.Planter's Room
There are only two Planter's Room in the original residence which are a bit away from the communal spaces. The spacious rooms will have a small private balcony with sun deck and will have a sunrise view every morning.Restaurants & Bars
The Barn
All your meals at Windermere Estate are served at the Barn which uses home recipes and locally-sourced ingredients. Each day you'll be introduced to new regional and Indian dishes which can be catered to your personal preference and dietary restrictions.

Bonfire Under The Boulder
Guests are invited to the communal bonfire and barbecue which happens in the Estate twice a week. It is the perfect place to mingle with other guests and the estate staff before your proper sit-down dinner.
