Full accommodation information

Set just outside the city of Kota Kinabalu in an idyllic hideaway beach location, Shangri-La Rasa Ria, Kota Kinabalu offers a rustic back-to nature experience in a luxury setting.

At the heart of the hotel is its commitment to wildlife and with this, a Nature Reserve has been founded in partnership with the Sabah Wildlife Department. Guests are offered the opportunity to learn about the natural beauty of the local area. The rest of the jungle provides the natural habitat for a plethora of free-roaming wildlife and accompanied by experts, guests are encouraged to discover the local flora and fauna.

The accommodation is first class, and all rooms come complete with a balcony or terrace offering extensive views of the ocean or out into the jungle. The décor is traditional yet neutral as the real focus comes outside the rooms. There is a full range of modern amenities to ensure guests’ comfort is at the forefront.

There are a range of dining options from Malaysian street food to traditional Indian cuisine. There is also an authentic Italian for when the mood takes. A range of bars offer the setting for a sundowner or two, or a quick tipple under the stars before retiring to bed.
