Hotel information
Zanzibar is a great beach destination on its own or combined with a safari in the Serengeti or Ngorongoro.
Great for families and for couples, the award-winning, all-inclusive Baraza Resort & Spa offers 30 villas, each with their own private plunge pool.
The resort’s water club will ensure you spend much of your time in or on the water while the Frangipani Spa creates a relaxing environment in which to get away from it all.
The classic Swahili design creates an authentic African experience during your stay, where handcrafted details, intricate woodwork, elegant arches and cool, white, open spaces make for a luxurious backdrop. Located on Bwejuu-Paje beach (named in the top 30 by Conde Nast Traveler magazine) much of your stay will no doubt revolve around being on the white sands, with the resort’s ‘The Water Club’ offering guests both high and low tide activities such as snorkelling, kite surfing, beach football, kayaking and sailing.
Dining at the resort’s three restaurants is a very special experience, offering everything from gourmet evening fare to laid-back lunches straight from the pizza oven. When you’re not enjoying being by the pool or on the beach then there’s a fascinating selection of books in the relaxing library, or a number of classes for those looking to learn something new, such as Swahili, palm weaving and cooking.
Children are very welcome at the Baraza Resort & Spa and when they’re not at the beach they’ll love the activities at the kids’ club or swimming in the children’s shaded pool.
