The 15 luxurious free-standing stone and canvas tented suites of Marataba Safari Lodge are set in the bush on a 56,835-acre private concession within the malaria-free Marakele National Park in the Limpopo Province.
The area is of outstanding natural beauty where rolling plains, cedar trees are set against the majestic Waterberg Mountains.
The Marakele National Park is home to Africa's Big Five and an amazing variety of birds including the largest colony of Cape Vultures in the world. The national park falls within the transition zone between the dry western region and wetter eastern region so attracts a vast variety of wildlife, the area is perfect for spotting raptors, Vervet monkeys, spotted hyena and several species of eagle.
Each of the exquisite suites at Marataba Safari Lodge features private wooden decks where you can relax and overlook the sweeping plains and meandering river where game visit throughout the day. The opulent interiors include a king-size bed and bathroom with free standing stone bath and shower, the outdoor showers take full advantage of the dramatic views of the Waterberg Mountains.
The dramatic red brick main lodge blends in remarkably with the surrounding bush and rich red mountain rock of the Waterberg Mountains. Relax in the main lounge or on the lawn while watching game wander across the wide-open plains or take a refreshing dip in the main pool.
Days are filled with activities including morning and evening game drives in open safari vehicles, bush walks, bird watching, wildlife lectures, river cruises, bush breakfasts and dinners, buffet bomas and star gazing.
Children of all ages are welcome at Marataba Safari Lodge with a range of family-focused activities such as family safari drives, bush orientation and dung tracking.

Each of the suites are constructed of stone with canvas canopies and solid wood and glass doors. The interiors are stylishly decorated and include en suite bathroom with free standing stone bath, plus an indoor and outdoor shower. The doors open to a spacious wooden deck where you can watch game cross the open plains and come down to th rivers edge.Additional Information
