Full accommodation information

Set in 30,000 hectares of malaria-free and untamed bush, Kwandwe Private Game Reserve is a luxurious base from which to see some of Africa’s most impressive big game. There are twice-daily game drives and optional extra activities including a nocturnal wildlife adventure, guided bush walks and specialist photography safaris.

Accommodation is either in the adults-only Kwandwe Great Fish River Lodge (accept children aged twelve plus), Ecca Lodge, the newly refurbished exclusive use Melton Manor with four en suite bedrooms, the family-friendly Uplands Homestead, which is available for sole use of a group or family of up to six people and features a pool and its own dedicated ranger, tracker and chef team and Fort House which is an exclusive use family Villa offering four en-suite bedrooms and a dedicated team.

Uplands Homestead

Uplands Homestead

Old-world romance imbues this private retreat, nestled within the manicured gardens on the private reserve. Three suites with private verandas and ensuite bathrooms combine modern comfort with time-honoured luxury. Antique mirrors, yellowwood chests and opulent wardrobes blend seamlessly with air-conditioning, in-room safes, underfloor heating and modern conveniences. The kitchen is this homestead's heart where meals are created and to be shared under the African sky in the boma.

Great Fish River Lodge
1 restaurant and bar, outdoor decking for private dining, boma for outdoor dining, well-stocked library with internet connection and games, curio shop. Each suite also has it’s own private plunge pool.

Ecca Lodge

Melton Manor
A private house with pool, library / sitting room, central garden courtyard, dining room and open kitchen. Guests here have a full complement of staff, private game viewer, guide and tracker. There is a low lying fence for security purposes around the property so it is safe for children of all ages.

Uplands Homestead
A private house with pool, library / sitting room, lawn, dining room and open kitchen. Guests here have a full complement of staff, private game viewer, guide and tracker. There is a low lying fence for security purposes around the property so it is safe for children of all ages.
