Full accommodation information

Country pursuits and fresh mountain air…fine cuisine and superb wines…Mont Rochelle (previously La Couronne) promises a stay that will be both invigorating and relaxing. Its enchanting setting in a picturebook valley deep in the heart of Cape wine country provides stunning vistas in every direction - from the blue mountains to the verdant vineyards.

Part of the Virgin Limited Edition Hotel Group, the luxurious interiors complement the magnificent setting, each of the 22 sumptuous bedrooms offering air conditioning, satellite television and underfloor heating, whilst deluxe touches include soft towelling bathrobes, down pillows and a choice of king-size or twin beds.

Fine dining is the hallmark of Mont Rochelle's à la carte restaurant, where meals are accompanied by first-class wines and sundowners are savoured in the colonial-style cigar bar.

Award-winning food and drink take centre stage at this vineyard hotel. You’ll have the opportunity to try some of the fantastic wines produced in the region, and experience some of the local hospitality. Mont Rochelle has two dining options. Enjoy light lunches at informal restaurant The Country Kitchen, which joins up to the wine cellar boasting some of the region’s best labels. For dinner, flagship restaurant MIKO specialises in local and home-grown ingredients that showcase the best of Franschhoek, with impeccable 180-degree valley views. You can also have gourmet picnics prepared with a selection of South African cheeses and charcuterie to enjoy in the sprawling 100-acre grounds.
