Local Activities

Explore the length of the sweeping sands you see from your windows with a scenic coastal walk. The hike takes you over nine kilometres of varied terrain, with some rocky hills and velvety soft sand trails. En route, keep an eye out for the migrating whales as they move towards Mozambique and Madagascar.

For a shopping spree, head to Ballito Lifestyle Centre or the Junction Mall. Both offer a range of options, from universal brands to niche local gems, along with eateries and other places to kick back and relax.

 

Golf

Keen golfers will relish the portfolio of 18-hole courses located nearby. Simbithi, Umhali and Prince’s Grant are among the locals’ favourites, ranked as some of the best in South Africa, and offering mesmerising views as their backdrops.

 

Watersports

There’s plenty to discover on a Dolphin Coast snorkelling adventure, with up to 50 species of fish residing in the waters. Keep an eye out for corals and big shoals, too! You can also try a group or solo surfing lesson and learn how to conquer the waves.
