It doesn't matter whether you're celebrating a milestone birthday with family and friends or escaping city life with your partner; Ulusaba, Sir Richard Branson's Private Game Reserve, is the perfect place for the safari experience of a lifetime.
Located deep in the bush in the Sabi Sand Reserve in South Africa, feel the adrenaline rush whilst anticipating the big 5 on game drives. During the day, kick back and unwind in one of the spas, take a dip in the fresh water pools or swirl around a few South Africa reds and whites in the wine cellar. With so much to do, guests really need to plan their time to enjoy safari walks, community tours, moonlit bush dinners and of course, the twice-daily game drives.
Ulusaba Private Game Reserve provides you with one of the best panoramic views of any game reserve, with Rock Lodge being located high atop a hill some 800 feet above the sweeping plains.
Here, each suite has its own private viewing deck and with just four lovely rooms and four superb suites, including the two individually decorated Makwela Suites. Both these have outdoor showers and a large comfortable lounge which opens out onto a spacious deck and private infinity plunge pool.
Cliff Lodge, located a short walk from the Main House at Rock Lodge, features two magnificent suites offering guests the ultimate in safari luxury. Cliff Lodge 1 has a private pool and a second bedroom for one adult or two children, and Cliff Lodge 2 has its own Jacuzzi with stunning views over the bush. When you hire both suites for exclusive use your own chef and private vehicle for game drives is included.
Children of all ages are welcome at Rock Lodge and children from the age of 6 years and upwards are welcome to participate in game drives but not on Safari Walks.
Children will love the Ulusaba Cub's Club where a range of personalised activities are available to children of all ages on request. On arrival, children are given a Cub's Club Backpack with goodies to entertain and educate about the bush, then the welcome treasure hunt will begin! The lower lounge has a huge selection of new and classic children's books, CD's, DVD's and video's to keep cubs entertained.
At Safari Lodge, built along the banks of the dry Mabrak riverbed, guests love the sense of adventure as they cross rope bridges between the beautiful tree house style rooms. Nestled under the shade of giant trees, watch the elephants and local wildlife pass by in the cool shade of your deck.
