Hemingways Eden is a charming boutique residence and a private gallery nestled in the leafy suburbs of Karen. The residence borders the Giraffe Sanctuary Forest and was originally designed and built in 1992 by artists Tonio and Anna Trzebinski as a family home, and later converted into a residence and art gallery.

Hemingways Eden Residence offers guests an immediate connection to an authentic expression of history and culture. The former home has been transformed into a living museum and a private gallery space that is filled with Anna & Tonio family-owned artwork and creations, including their library and artefacts that have been collected over a lifetime on the continent.

The master bedroom features a super king-size bed as well as a large daybed, walk-in wardrobe and private outdoor veranda with stunning forest views. The en-suite bathroom is beautifully finished with wood-panelled walls and complete with a large shower and separate bathtub.

Nairobi National Park A short drive from the hotel, the Nairobi National Park offers either an immediate safari experience on landing in Kenya or a final last look prior to departing home. With wide open grass plains and the backdrop of the city, scattered acacia bushes play host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife.

David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Born from one family’s passion for Kenya and its wilderness, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is today the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world and one of the pioneering conservation organisations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa. Spend a few hours in the company of young orphan elephants and learn about incredible rescue efforts and the world-famous rehabilitation programme. You may also find yourself adopting one of the herds.

The Giraffe Centre The Giraffe Centre is a non-profit making organization whose main objective is to provide conservation education for school children and the youth of Kenya. Visit the feeding platform to get up close and personal with a giraffe and take a stroll through the nature sanctuary for a tranquil getaway with serene views and sounds of nature.

Karen Blixen Museum The centre piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills and once the home of Danish author, Karen Blixen, a visit here will take you back in time where you can re-live your memories of Out of Africa. Pick up a copy of the famous film at the museum shop or browse for handicrafts, posters and postcards, books and other Kenyan souvenirs.
