Hotel information
Mahali Mzuri is Sir Richard Branson's 12-tented luxury safari camp in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. At Mahali Mzuri you will enjoy a front-row seat on an abundance of wildlife in some of the worlds more spectacular scenery.
Sir Richard Branson opened his Kenyan Safari Camp in 2013, in collaboration with the local Maasai communities.
Mahali Mzuri aims to leave as minimal a footprint as possible on the land and to promote low-density tourism which creates less pressure on the environment.
Accommodation is in tented suites close to all the action. Each one sits on a raised platform and includes a spacious bedroom with an en suite bathroom, sitting area and a large deck with views over the landscape - perfect for spotting the game that will almost certainly wander into view!
After a hard day’s safari, you can relax and unwind with a Nasaro spa treatment – Nasaro meaning 'refuge' or 'relaxation' in Maa. A range of treatments are available, from facials to massages.
Room Options
12 grand tents perched on the sides of a lush valley overlooking the rolling plains. Each of these distinctive domed tents feature a grand timber-framed furnished deck, and inside, a king-sized bed and an en suite bathroom with a standalone bathtub. There is a strict limit on the number of guests allowed to visit each time and each of the tents are secluded from one another meaning that you can enjoy truly exclusive access to this reserve.
Safari Tent
Your tent is your window onto some of the world’s most spectacular scenery. Sleeping up to 24 guests across 12 luxurious tents, each is designed to be your home away from home, with an ensuite bathroom, private deck and views you won’t want to miss - they’re unlike any you’ve ever experienced.Family Safari Tent
Two family-style tents with four-poster king-size beds with sofa beds in the living room sleeping two additional children.Restaurants & Bars
Dining Experience
From bush BBQs to champagne picnics to sundowners, Mahali Mzuru will treat you to a wide selection of African and international menus. Locally-sourced produce, flavours and spices to deliver something truly memorable. All meals and drinks including alcohol and our finest champagne are included in your stay and guests are welcome to help themselves to whatever they want at any time. At breakfast a continental buffet will be served with hot dishes available à la carte, and guests typically share tables – it’s a great time to chat with your fellow travellers about the wildlife you saw earlier that morning. Lunch is normally served on the main deck with individual tables and guests can order from the à la carte menu. Dinner could be around a large communal table out in the bush or if preferred, somewhere private just for two
