About Me
I started my career in 2014 after taking a year off to travel. As part of this, I did a ski season in Ste Foy as a ‘chalet boy’. It was hard, but I got to ski/snowboard every day for five months!
I loved travelling so much that I decided to have a career change and swapped from retail (as a sportswear buyer) to travel. My first role was at a boutique ski agency. Then I moved to Club Med before swapping the slopes for the beaches at Simpson Travel. During the last two years there, I worked with direct and indirect customers, and helped to build their agent business through training, social media and shows.
I love the beaches but missed the mountains and was itching to get back into a ski role!
My Travel Specialism
When it comes to the number of countries I’ve visited, there are probably too many to list!
I’ve skied and boarded since my first school trip, which was long ago. At one point, we were taking three to four trips to the mountains every year.
The ski resorts I’ve visited include:
France: Les 3 Vallées (Val Thorens, Courchevel 1550, 1650, 1850, Meribel St Martin, La Tania), Val d’Isere and Tignes, Les Arcs and La Plagne, La Rosiere, Ste Foy, Chamonix, Alp d’Huez and Deux Alpes, Samoens, Fleine
Austria: St Anton, Kaprun, Zell am See, Lech and Zurs
Switzerland: Saas Fee, Zermatt (day trip) from Cervinia
Italy: Courmayeur, Dolomites (a different resort each day), La Thuile
Canada: Whistler
I just love the mountains—the fresh air, exhilaration and, of course, apres-ski. It’s the healthiest place on earth.
Outside of ski, I’ve visited Greece multiple times. This includes Corfu, Paxos, Lefkada, Sivota, Meganissi, Ithaca, Kefalonia and the Peloponnese. Ithaca is my favourite island, but the Peloponnese is fantastic.
My Most Memorable Travel Experiences
An experience I’ll never forget is riding backcountry/off-piste with an ABS backpack for the first time. It was the most exciting yet scary experience I’ve ever had on the slopes!
In terms of bucket list moments, I always remember Courchevel 1650. It snowed all night, but was followed by a bluebird day. We had First Tracks and had the slopes to ourselves.
This is in addition to completing The White Ring (a legendary ski circuit connecting St Anton, Lech, Zurs, etc). It was challenging, but we made it and celebrated with a beer (or two!).
Visiting the MooserWirt in St Anton for the first time was also unforgettable.
My favourite destination: France
I love the Alps—some of the largest ski domains in the world. They offer fantastic scenery, a memorable experience and, if you’re into food or the spa, some pure indulgence as well.
My favourite hotel: The Chedi Andermatt
Chedi Andermatt is a stunning and luxurious ski-in/ski-out hotel at 1500m. I was utterly blown away by it, especially from a family point of view. However, the pièce de resistance is a 5.5m cheese tower!
Service commitment from you:
With a deep love for skiing, snowboarding and stylish alpine living, I create holidays that combine luxury, adventure and the magic of après-ski for memories that will last you a lifetime.
Your top tips for travellers:
- Always pack an extra base layer – you never know when you’ll need it
- Bring goggles with an interchangeable lens – it’s a game changer for me, and you can cope with anything
- Enjoy a midweek spa/massage – the key to staying fully fit on the slopes
