Travel Specialist

Working in luxury retail and travel for all my life, I understand how important it is to ‘get it right’.

About me

My career in travel began as a dream whilst working in luxury retail; any money I could save as I worked, I would spend it on seeing the world and visiting sought-after destinations. Finally, an opportunity arose to work within the travel industry, creating bespoke, once-in-a-lifetime itineraries including honeymoons, round the world trips, city breaks, weddings and many more. Now spending my career receiving accolades and incredible trips around the world, I can safely say that I am learning a lot about otherworldly destinations and hotels in the best way possible!

My travel specialism

I am very lucky to have a varied travel specialism. From exploring the vibrant cultures and awe-inspiring landmarks of the USA and the pristine shores of Mexico, to marvelling at the mountainous backdrops and rugged caves of Halong Bay in Vietnam, my experience spans across many different parts of the world.

I love to help people experience the places I love across the world. Some of my favourite destinations to sell based on my own travel would be the Far East, Africa, USA, The Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Australia.

My most memorable travel experience

I’ll never forget hot air ballooning over the Maasai Mara after being woken by a ranger at 4am with a hot chocolate. We watched from above as herds travelled across plains and lions stalked into the long grass. Being on the same level as the eagles and vultures was truly spectacular.

Another unforgettable memory I have is the light show in Uluru. After another early start and another hot chocolate, we wrapped up in many layers and headed to the award-winning Field of Light display to watch the illuminations of the installation glowing in the desert.

I must mention my honeymoon on the coast of California; we stopped in Palm Springs, an amazing city still set to the style of the 1950’s where all of old Hollywood would flock to at the weekends. We made a reservation at Melvyn’s, a timeless restaurant where Frank Sinatra loved it so much, he had his own table. It felt as if we had stepped back in time, and my husband, who is a huge ‘Ol Blue Eyes’ fan, was in his element.

My favourite destination: California

‘What is your favourite destination?’ is the hardest question to ask a travel expert. However, California has to make it at the top of my list. There’s so much to see and do, and some of my favourite travel memories are in this dynamic state. Sipping wine on a tour around the valleys of Sonoma, a small boutique wine region is one of my favourite things to do in California. I recommend twinning this with San Francisco to visit Alcatraz, bike across the famous Golden Gate Bridge and watch a baseball game with views of the Bay. From here, work your way down the state for coastal cuisines in Monterey, desert oases in Palm Springs, and finish it with some partying and spending in Las Vegas!

My favourite hotel: Palm Island Resort & Spa

Only accessible by boat, this small island in the heart of the Caribbean suits me perfectly! The sand is powder white and the sea surrounding St Vincent and The Grenadines has an abundance of tropical fish and turtles right off the beach. The food here is incredible and the cocktails included locally picked fruit that morning. At Palm Island, the entertainment includes movie nights on the beach, steel bands after dinner and then hitting the hay after spending the day on the boat snorkelling. This island has a real barefoot vibe, and wouldn’t be out of place in the Maldives.

Service commitment from you:

I pride myself on listening to your needs, what truly makes a holiday special to you, and crafting an itinerary to suit your requirements. This may be your only trip you intend to do to this destination, and we can make it perfect for you. Building relationships with my clients is crucial to me as we can work together to create the dream, and I want to make sure anything is possible with your travel plans.

Your top tips for travellers:

  • Pack the medicine cupboard. Especially if travelling somewhere remote, you might not find what you need in a small village in Thailand with a language barrier!
  • Tell me your must-haves, no matter what they are. We can make sipping your favourite local gin from home each night a reality.
  • Ask the locals. They will know the best places to eat, the best times to go to things, and even a friendly chat!
