About Me

From a young age, I have always been fascinated with travel, experiencing new cultures and trying unique foods. At 19 I set out to acquaint myself with India and Nepal and gained firsthand knowledge of their unique and vibrant cultures by exploring everything from Himalayan settlements to the busy streets of Mumbai. Over the following years, I spent a year living in Paris, I managed a riad in Marrakech and I led tours around Egypt, Jordan, China and the Far East. Although I am much less of a nomad now, I am passionate about creating unforgettable holidays for my clients. At ITC, the care and work behind our client’s holidays is first class and I am proud to be a part of the team.  

Favourite Places

The Far East, but in particular Malaysia, is my favourite corner of the world. I love the country’s diverse heritage and culture, where Buddhist temples, mosques, and Hindu deities intermingle with modern Malaysia. And of course, the incredible food – from succulent beef rendang to banana leaf curry.

Favourite Hotel

It would have to be the Shangri-La Rasa Ria in Kota Kinabalu, Borneo. A must for nature lovers, this hotel is set with the most incredible jungle backdrop and even has its own nature reserve. On quieter mornings we could hear the gibbons in the trees just behind the hotel. To the front, the hotel faces the South China Sea where guests can take part in water sport activities, charter a boat or just lounge on the beautiful beach.

Ensuring that my clients have the best experience on their holiday is what motivates me every day. I love to get to know my clients so that I can really understand what is important to them on their holidays, and in doing so, I can design bespoke itineraries that create lasting memories.

Think Anthony Bourdain: “Eat at a local restaurant tonight. Get the cream sauce. Have a cold pint at 4 o’clock in a mostly empty bar. Go somewhere you’ve never been. Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you. Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you but have a drink with them anyway. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself.
